Where In The World Is Kristie?

December 22nd, 2007 · 8 Comments

Well, to answer that wonderful question…I have left my new home of Oslo, Norway to spend Christmas with Marius and his family in Lithuania.

As a matter of fact, I am writing this blog post from Vilnius because we just got in (Baltic airlines, at about midnight) and are staying at Marius’ dad’s apartment tonight. We plan to spend the rest  of our trip in Kaunas with his mom (which I prefer) and will be going out there tomorrow, which is about an hours drive.

So, where in the world is Kristie? I am in Vilnius, Lithuania. Enjoying wonderful (and excessive) Lithuanian food and hospitality even in the middle of the night (courtesy of Marius’ step-mom, who hand made these ravioli/meat filled pasta thingys that were super good after traveling for a few hours).

I’m continually impressed with the hospitality of the Lithuanians, and the amount of food that they give you! They are so generous :)

I also wanted to let my readers know that since I am (unexpectedly) now in Lithuania for the next nine days, I do not know when I will have an Internet connection. Luckily here in Vilnius, I am able to get some Internet, but once we are in Kaunas I know that the only Internet I will be able to get will be when we go to the cafes. So I don’t know how much I will be posting over the next nine days, but I will do my best!

So, if I am unable to do so, I want to wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! Thank you all for being so supportive of my blog. It means so much to me!

Now wouldn’t that be the just your luck. I was looking at your weather widget on your site and it said 23 degrees and light snow. Leave for holiday and it snows.

    :)

We got some snow yesterday and I thought of you. Hopefully, there’ll be lots when you return. By the way, yesterday’s post at Oslo Daily Photo is just for you. :-)
