Since I started my blog I have always kept up on the statistics of this site. But since I have not been writing as much lately, I have also not been checking my statistics either.
Sometimes it is so interesting what you can find when you check out the statistics of your site.
For example, I cannot remember that last time I wrote a post about Lithuanian food. And yet, somehow, it is the number one phrase that people search and find my site with.
Another thing the stats show is where people come from. There have been multiple times people have had my site translated on google translator, but it doesn’t reveal which language that it gets translated to. But where people come from even more often is a website called ‘cheapkeywords’. It makes me feel cheap!
As interesting as the statistics for my site might be, I typically end up with more questions than answers. Like what are the’cheap keywords’ on my site? Who is regularly translating my site into another language to read? And how is it that Argentina is the number two country on the list of where my readers are from? This is the first time I have ever mentioned Argentina on my blog!
So here is a question I want to ask you out there… Whoever is in Argentina and reading my blog, I would love to know what it is that you find interesting. Why do you read a blog about an American girl living in Oslo, Norway? And to my friends who are having my site translated into another language on google translator, what language it that? All the regular readers I have from Singapore, Japan and Australia…please leave me a comment! I would love to hear from you too.
Looking at a sites statistics is all about getting to know your readers better and that is just what I would love to do. Please leave a comment. Let us all know where your from and why your here! I cant wait to get to know you better :)

It is rather surprising that Argentina is second place in your list. I just found your blog ten days ago, and I posted today for the first time!
What I find interesting in your blog are your practical advices and experiences. I mean, finding an appartment, a gym, etc. are important things that maybe people forget to take into account when considering a place to move to.
And besides, in brochures and “profesional” websites, the info may be not so accurate. For example, in one of that websites, it is said that the impression that norwegians are reserved and hard to get to know to was a misconception. Hey, that may be so, but I want to hear it from an actual person that is living there!
I found this blog when looking for experiencies of living in europe, because I’m planning to do my postgraduate studies there. I’m not sure exactly where, but Norway is a possibility. I don’t consider the US because, well… no offence, but I would never live there (too many reasons).
Well, keep up doing the stories, they are really good.
Saludos from the land of wine, football (not soccer!) and Diego!

I occasionally read your blog, as hopefully next year my husband and I will be living in Hammar, Norway as missionaries. I read your blog so I can learn more about Norway. Keep it up, don’t stop writing!

Kristie,
I am curious, how do you know you were translated in Google? I have a translator program, not Google and I never know if anyone has used it. For stats I use Sitemeter and its stats with Analytics I get a lot of info but not enough.
Thanks again for the FANTASTIC interview and how you presented it,

Bruce, I have bluehost and I use their aw stats. I dont have a translator on my site so people who want to translate my site have to go to an online translator so in my statistics I can see that that translator read my site :) Thanks again for doing the interview! It is always fun! :)
