I know that its getting close to my time to leave for Norway because I am running out of things to watch on my tivo. I have canceled all of my normal season passes, and I have nothing left to watch!
Being the reality tv junkie that I am …I was quick to
check that I could watch the end of the season for Big Brother online (Big Brother is my favorite). Because it would have been very upsetting to me to move to Norway right before the end of the season (Go Danielle! :). And yes, I know how silly it sounds that I am concerned about a tv show when I am going through this amazing transition in my life and moving overseas. But come on, aren’t we all allowed to be a little silly every once in a while? Maybe some of us more than others…
So back to my silliness: Luckily CBS is wonderful enough to provide full episodes of some of their shows on their website. You just go to CBS.com and go to “full episodes” and you get a list of all the shows you can download on your computer. And yes, I already double checked to make sure that it really worked - and last week watched Amber get evicted right on my laptop. I love Big Brother.
I wonder if they have Big Brother Norway? That would be cool! I would definitely need either subtitles or a translator, but hey, for Big Brother I’m sure I could make it work.
Like I said, I am a reality tv junkie, and love my shows. And I’m sure I’ll be busy once I move to Norway and doubt that I will have much time for tv. But I have a feeling that from time to time I will curl up on the couch and indulge in a little guilty pleasure from home and watch my favorite tv shows. And it will probably be nice to have something familiar and fun once in a while.
As I discover other good shows that I can watch on my computer from home, while in Oslo, I will let you know where you can find them too.
I guess its a little silly to think I will miss some of my shows (and my tivo) as I head out on my big life-changing adventure and move to Norway…but hey, its the truth! I bet there are other Americans out there that live in Norway or some other part of the world that feel the same, I’m just not afraid to admit it! :)
