My friend complains about how Norwegians always always are talking about the weather.
Sunshine is delicious, rain is refreshing, wind braces us up, snow is exhilarating; there is really no such thing as bad weather, only different kinds of good weather. ~John Ruskin~
But since I have moved here and have been here a while, I find myself also talking about the weather all the time (as you can see from many posts on my blog!).
But the thing is is that it is so gorgeous here that I have to talk about it. I am an American who moved to Norway - but not just any American, a Californian. So this type of weather is something I never get to experience.
The leaves are changing colors and falling from the trees, the air is crisp and cool (and at night sometimes cold) but so far - as far as the weather is concerned - I am enjoying every second of it. Its amazing.
American Expat Tip:
For my fellow Americans moving to Norway, if you need some help with figuring out the differences between the celsius/fahrenheit temperatures are…take a look at my page Expat Tools and look for the Temperature Conversion Engine.

I’m so happy I found your blog. I’m just beginning the planning for my first vacation to Norway. I’ll be checking back.

Swedes do it to (and I’ve picked that up as well). I guess it just becomes natural considering how the weather is in this part of the world.
Like I told you yesterday, I’m from NJ, so the changing seasons wasn’t new to me. But it is different here and I do enjoy it. In fact, as far as winter is concerned, it’s not really existant in NJ really, especially compared to here. And I’ve learned to love it here in Sweden!
