The Days Are Getting Very Short

November 9th, 2007 · 1 Comment

It’s so fun for me to get to experience some of the new and different things about Norway since I’ve moved here. I am like a little kid at Disneyland sometimes because it is so new and fun.

For example today at about 4:30PM it was already dark! Its so cool! Now I know everyone who lives here hates that about the winter here and swears that I will want to leave Norway in a month because of it, but its so fascinating! I am having the greatest time.

And right now the weather here in Oslo is getting pretty cold and I love it too. And again, everyone I talk to SWEARS that I will hate it soon, but I am just loving it. I am at the office right now and I can hear it pouring raining outside. It is so beautiful and fun for me I don’t care what anyone says, I am loving the weather here in Norway.

For those of you who don’t know, I’m from Southern California and don’t get to experience fall or winter really at all. I am just having a blast with this whole ‘experiencing the seasons’ thing.

I know talking about the weather is probably boring to you, but its so fun to me. Hey! I became one of the people in Norway who always talks about the weather! Hahaha. :) Gotta love it.

haha that’s so funny! Yeah, we always talk about the weather, don’t we? :)

Actually, I can understand that you think it’s fascinating. I mean.. I don’t really like the colder days or when it rains for weeks, but at the same time the change in seasons is what I like most about my country. I lived for a while in Spain, and I missed home so much. I missed all the amazing green colours we get in the summer time (because we usually have some - or a lot - of rain) and I love the change… I feel like I’m living in the cycle of life, if you understand what I mean?

But in a few weeks I’ll probably complain.. just as I do every winter. I truly don’t like the winter in Oslo. :)

You sound very positive, and I think that’s really good - you’ll manage life here just fine then. :)
