  Hi,I av posted twicw today,However I had to put my bit in on this topic.
  I have been away from the UK for 20 odd years now!nusing around in Helsinki and St Petersburg.The first few years,I felt as mI was in heaven,like on an extended holiday.The next few years I m9issed home and small thingss like”Fish & Chips”and real ale.Following that I became angry & iimpossible to live with.

  I really do ot know the axact time,but I began to miss Finland when I was travelling,not the UK anymore!So I guess in answer to your ?,For myself an Expat is someone” who sees the grass always greener on the other side”and is searching with in themslves to find a true home.

  By the way,just to add I am an ex-merchant seaman.so a home was always on the horizon but never tangible.
