I have mentioned this week that since I’m on vacation I cant post as I normally do and will get back to my normal posting when I get back to Norway on Wednesday. But until then I have very limited time on the internet, I am waiting to tell you all about my vacation to Lithuania when I get back to Norway.
But there is something I saw last night that I thought was so cool, I just had to share.
I was with my friend going to the mall (yes, they have huge and amazing malls here in Lithuania - but more on that another day) and we had borrowed someones car (no dad, don’t worry, I was not driving) and parking in the parking structure when I noticed these signs. There were neon signs on each row of this multi level parking structure that had the number of available parking spaces open in each row.
It was so cool! You didn’t have to keep driving up and down rows to see where an open space was, you just look up and see hereĀ there is two spaces, there there is seven and here there is one. I loved it.
Then something even cooler. In each row of the parking structure, over each space there was a light. If the space was full it was red and if it was available, it was green. It was so fun!
So without driving in circles for ever and ever in the parking structure, you could see which rows had available spaces and then look down the row and see how close the spaces were to where we were going to decide if we wanted to park there.
I think that Los Angeles could really benefit from this system of parking! It was so cool. I will try to take a picture of it. We might be going back to the mall tonight to go ice skating! :)
