Socks

November 1st, 2007 · 1 Comment

If you have been reading my blog you will know that here in Norway I’ve had some trouble with the washing machine. It is not pretty, but I have currently dyed all of my white socks pink. Not so nice. But now living in Norway and having visited Lithuania, I have experienced another problem with my white socks.

In every home that I have been in so far (in both countries), you take off your shoes when you go in the houses. Now my pink/white socks all have black bottoms on them from walking around in my socks so much. I guess I’m starting to understand why no one wears white socks here, but I like having nice white socks.

Well, I guess I’ve already defeated the purpose of having nice white socks since I have nice pink socks now. Ugh. Oh well, just a part of getting used to living in a new place, I guess.

I recal when living in London, we’d have had better luck sending laundry back to Maine than waiting for the dryer to ever work!
