Even little ol’ me here in Norway living as an expat, I am still very patriotic. I spent the last few hours watching the inauguration of President Obama and enjoyed it. I am hopeful about the good that he will do. I didn’t vote in this election because I ‘quit’ politics and caring about those types of things a few years ago, but if I would have paid attention and seen Obama I would have voted for him to make sure I did my part in making him president. Although I did not vote, I am thankful for those who did who made it happen. (Sorry dad!).
What do you think about our new President of the United States?

On one hand I consider all politicians as liars.
But there’s something about Obama that makes me want to suspend that opinion :)
I do hope he manages to start the positive change going (the expectations on him are ridiculous!).

I voted and for Obama. There is Rhetoric in most speeches, and were in both of what Obama and McCain said. Though, Obama had a direction in which this country needed to go.
Obama has what the US needs at this time not because he has abiltiy, which he has, or convictions which he’ll stand for , or ideas which represent the whole. He has IMAGE. Sadly, the world seem bound to the prosperity of the US, which is sad. Anyhow, we can’t look forward to too many new things. Not too many changes. There is a huge debt to recover from and it will only worsen for a time. Still, He is the best that could of been selected to rejoin the world as a co-operative. 2cents

Change will come to slow for some of us ,but we need to stand together as a nation.

I don’t think he’ll be that different. Sure, he’s a democrat, and at least he won’t piss on human rights, but he’s still an arrogant NORTHamerican (seen one of those?).
