It is my experience in relocating and moving abroad that homesickness is inevitable. It will happen. I had read from other sources that sometimes it doesnt happen immmediately. But in my case it happened the instant that my feet hit the ground in Norway. I was instantly homesick.

I think one part of being homesick is that when you remember your life back home, you only remember the good things that give you warm fuzzy feelings. Not the reality.

Like for example, I was thinking about wonderful memories I have of when I used to go camping with really good friends every spring break at the beach. We spent the days playing cards and using candy to make bets and we always played my favorite game…backgammon.

Its so fun to think of those times, but its weird that those memories would actually make me homesick, considering I haven’t done that is many years.

The more I thought about it though, the more I missed playing my favorite games like blackjack and backgammon. And since all these sentimental feelings got me to thinking about playing one of my all time favorite games… backgammon, I wanted to try to find places I could play backgammon online.
