I love living in Norway when it snows. And for those of us who live in Oslo, know that that is not very often. So when it does snow (especially when it stays on the ground for longer than 24 hours) I am so excited.
It is really fun to see when there are others living in Oslo that are just as excited about the beautiful snow we just got. As many of you know I am a member of the yahoo group “new to Oslo”. Expats in Norway and especially in Oslo talk about all kinds of things here. Since I have lived in Norway (a year and a half now) I have never heard anyone in this group mention the snow at all. So it was really fun when there were tons of comments and discussion about how great this snow we are having is. I am glad others of you living in Oslo are enjoying it as much as I am!
I took some pictures today around noon (the only time it has been light enough to take any photos because it is so cloudy…maybe the snow storm will continue:) ) to show you what it looks like from my balcony! Oslo covered in snow! I just love it! Hope you enjoy it too.

I must admit I’m quite surprised it doesn’t snow in Oslo that often. I aways associate Norway with the white stuff in winter.
Love the pictures, too late to print them on Christmas cards though. lol

Wow, these are just awesome pics! I am sure if we see this in London this year, that would be fun. Only thing is, that would not be so snowy in here but I would need to probably visit Oslo to see this.

Wow, very very cool pictures. If it ever snowed in Singapore … it’s probably the end of the world -OR- the government has acquired some land in Greenland.
