I found this funny article online called “Norway and United States race to spend the most on pointless bridges”. I had to read it….
The author talks about a recent article in Conde-Nast traveler magazine that talks about Norway’s government spending $300 million on a bridge to connect “a town of 100 to a village of 70.” Then she goes on to explain how the US is just as intelligent with the plan to spend $323 million on a “Bridge to Nowhere” that would connect Alaska to an island with a population of 50. No, not 50 thousand, just 50 people.
What do you say to that? Its just too funny to me. Hope you get a kick out of it too!

Bridges to nowhere not your thing? Maybe your more of the wine and dine by the harbourside type. Experience this in Sydney - Australia’s hot spot for shopping, dining and entertainment.
Stay in Sydney Hotels for a great value and central location to enjoy the action first hand. Free outdoor entertainment, ferry cruises, and even a monorail, if you stay at one of our Sydney Hotels you are right in the middle of all the fun.
But if you want to be close to the action, but in a little quieter location then you’ll love the Darling Harbour Hotels. Still only a few minutes walk from all the main attractions. The IMAX, the Sydney Aquarium, and the Chinese Garden of Friendship.
Or for those of you wanting Melbourne’s fashionable cafes or bars, Melbourne Hotels are the accommodations for you.
If your visiting one of Australia’s two largest cities, Sydney or Melbourne, then
