There were two separate articles that I came across this week about the same story…nothing I personally would consider ‘newsworthy’ but interesting because Norway seems to be so concerned about it.

She has been attending a year long school in which she claims to have learned to communicate with horses and talk with angels. She claims that the intstitue offers courses that help people get connected with “the angels and the divine universe”.

There has been an outrage and serious scrutiny from the media about this subject. And speaking for myself only, seems to be par-for-the-course as far as Norway is concerned. I have not had very much experience, but I am speaking from the very little experience that I HAVE had. My experience was that Norwegians like everything to be the same as everyone else. So I can only imagine what happens when someone of status goes her own way…especially regarding such a touchy subject as religion and spirituality. I understand why this would freak people out.

In just the two articles that I read they say, “she should leave the luthren church”, that if she can talk with angels that this will open the same channels to have contact with the demons, that she should “drop the princess title…and [then] choose to live her life her own way” and they clearly state that they feel members of the royal family should not be involved with spiritual healing.

These articles go on and imply that this even could be just a “business venture” for the princess.  And without doubt, they question her mental health.

I say, give the girl a break….and get a grip people! Its 2007….
