I got this new freeware photoediting program called GIMP. Has anyone heard of it? It is supposedly the “free version of photoshop”. Its super complicated and I think it will take me a long time to figure out but it is really cool…and did I mention free??
Anyways the reason I am mentioning this is because on my “Best Of” page, I used it to create these new header images (the ones that say “Norway, Lithuania, India” etc. I want to know what you guys think of it. How does it look? Does it look too cheesy? I cant decide…so I need to know what you think! Thanks for helping!!

hehe.. GIMP! :) I’ve been using it for the last 2 years now.. I’m not an expert user, but I find it very handy for cropping, changing colors of logos, and some simple effects..
I don’t find it that complicated.. have you ever had a look at photoshop? for me, that’s even more complicated.
about the logos.. I’d personally prefer something simple.. they’re ok but definitely not my style ;)
and btw.. you forgot to mention one thing :) GIMP, apart from being free, it’s also open-source :) i.e. you can freely look at how it works from the inside, and add on that if you want :)

Hi Kristie! In my opinion, Gimp is one of the best open source software used to manipulate images and it’s worth learning. By the way, the header image you have in your ” Best of…” page is beautiful!

The new headers are really colorful and unique- I like them. I admire you for tackling a tough program…even the simple ones daunt me!Wendy
