I have been thinking all day about posting about the animals that are all around here, at the ashram. But specifically about the monkeys. (Click on the images for bigger pictures)

Why? Because they are so funny. They are very brave, will steal things out of your hands, take things from you and not give it back until you give them food, and are so cute! Well, as long as they don’t get too close to me…they also bite.
As I was thinking about that, Marius came in and took a big stick out in the hallway to scare them away because he could barley get through to our door because they were attacking him trying to get the stuff out of his hands.

So, I was able to get a few pictures of them before we had to scare them all away. And of course, as you see they posed for all the pictures.

The dogs are two of three stray dogs that live here at the ashram. There are many more dogs around in Penukonda, but because these dogs have found food and love here (against the rules, but people cant help but take care of the cute dogs) they have become very territorial and will not allow any other dogs in.

I’ve never been much of an ‘anmial’ person, but these dogs and monkeys (from a distance) are super cute!
