Loosing Weight

September 6th, 2008 · 2 Comments

So when I went to India I didn’t loose a lot of weight, but I did lose weight. Then I went back home to Los Angeles to visit my family and my precious Mexican food that I have not had in one whole entire year (that’s the longest I had been without Mexican food since I could eat solid foods). So basically I gained a ton of weight in the one week that I was there…now I joined fitnessxpress again here in Oslo to work it all off again. :) Wish me luck.

    Hi,
I’m curious. When you got back to LA , were you wishing you could stay, or happy to get back to Norway?
I grew up in LA and have spent the last 15 yrs in Vegas. My husband is Norwegian and is longing for the homeland so we are thinking of moving over with our 13 year old. I’m game, but wonder how this Southern Cal/Vegas girl who doesn’t speak Norwegian will do there? We will be living just outside of Oslo in an area called Son. …and seriously, NO Mexican food? Anywhere? :)

@Terry: Hi Terry…to answer your questions, there are things I really miss about the US and things I dont. As far as moving your 13 year old there, it is really hard to say weather he/she would love or hate it. Not speaking Norwegian is not such a big deal because EVERYONE speaks English. I dont know how school would be for him/her though. I would really strongly suggest that you take your son/daughter on a vacation to Norway first to see what they think of it. If I was 13 years old and my parents wanted to move here, I would want to have my say in the decision…it could be great - or not. Sorry that that is probably not very helpful. But it is really hard to say!
And yes, seriously…NO Mexican food. (There is one tex mex place in the city center - but the prices are ridiculous and it is what I call ‘pretend’ Mexican food.)
