India General knowledge-India’ s face in 2007.
India is a vast country with a lot of diversity. Post independence, India has struggled a lot to gain economic stability. The economic hub of India ‘Mumbai’ looks like any other dobeveloped foreign city now in 2007. You will see high rises, sky scrapers in this city of India. The biggest problem of this city is the slums. The government is doing considerable work to redevelop the slum areas in Mumbai. There has been considerable redevelopment of slums and the development in India is considerably fast. Even though the economic conditions here have improved a lot, there is still poverty in many parts of India. While cities like Mumbai, Kolkata are busy and people here are working days and nights, there are quiet and small villages of India which the tourists adore.
