So we went to apply for our visas to India for our trip coming up. The Indian embassy in Oslo is in a part of town that I had not been before. And to be honest, I was really glad Marius had been there before because I do not know if I would have ever been able to find it by myself.

On their website they say that the processing time for visas is usually five business days. So we went two weeks before we were leaving (yes, we did procrastanate…I know). The woman that helped us was very kind, and looked at the days we were traveling and said, “Umm, so do you have tickets already for these dates?”. We told her that we did.
She informed us that that is for Norwegians (the five day processing) and that it takes a lot longer for foreigners because they have to get the approval from our home countries. So she said that it would be okay though, we would just have to come back the day before we leave to pick up our passports and visas.
The funny part too is that the visa for me as an American was significantly more expensive than the visa for Marius (from Lithuania). Oh well, we did it!
I can not wait to go to India! :)
