I did not know until today that Finland was not a “Scandinavian” country. Thanks to one of my helpful (and obviously more intelligent) readers, I know know! I asked my husband if it was true, and he said it was. He said that Finland is a Nordic country, not a Scandinavian one. I have got to get all of my regional terms straight!

Yup, due to the fact that they don’t speak a Germanic language. The Danish on the other hand are Scandinavian but not Nordic then due to their location

Scandinavia is Norway, Sweden and Denmark.
Nordic countries is Norway, Sweden, Finland, Iceland and DENMARK. I’m from Norway so I know what I talk about.
