I have mentioned once or twice before that before I moved to Norway I was working in the jewelry industry. I went to the Gemological Institute of America (G.I.A) and became certified in working with diamonds. I really loved doing that, but as life changes and moves on, so did I. I did not spend as much time in this industry as I would have liked, but my life was changing fast and thats just the way it happened.

One thing is certain about jewelry shopping is that GUYS NEED HELP! So it is not a bad idea to seek out some advice or tips about what to buy for your girl if you are a man on the hunt for the perfect gift.

The thing that you definitely do not want to screw up is the engagement ring/proposal. This is a very special time and a chance to make a memory that last forever.

So my advice to those guys out there looking to buy their ladies the perfect piece of jewelry is … do your homework and put some effort into it. It will be well worth it in the end.
