Bureaucracy: SUCKS!
(clearing my throat…) Okay, now that I got that out of my system. Sorry folks for the little outburst, but for the past - um - three days (I think, its Wednesday
Bureaucracy
The structure and set of regulations in place to control activity, usually in large organizations and government. It is characterized by standardized procedure (rule-following), formal division of responsibility, hierarchy, and impersonal relationships.
stressed out because my time as a tourist in Norway is coming to an end VERY soon and I am still waiting on the Norwegian officials to process certain paperwork so I can stay here in Norway without being deported. I know it will work out, but it just is a little nerve-wracking waiting on the “system” (especially since the Norwegian system is all new to me).
So today I feel strongly that Bureaucracy is a hindrance to my living a free life as a wandering spirit and the bureaucratic nature of the extremely long processes I am subjected to here in Norway, just to be able to stay and enjoy their beautiful country, totally freaking sucks.
I love you Norway! Please let me stay! I promise I’ll be a good girl :)
P.S. I apologize to my readers, I use big words when I get mad. It makes me feel important.

Hey,
First off I COMPLETELY know how you feel! Secondly, I’m not sure how it is in Norway but I know in the countries I’ve lived in as long as your paperwork is being processed you are legally allowed to be in the country…just wanted to offer up some advice but for all I know the system in Norway may be totally different.

It’s stressful when our destiny is in someone else’s hands but every expatriate goes through this ‘bureaucratic phase’. Don’t worry everything is going to be fine. Good luck!

This indeed sucks… I don’t know how it is in other countries, but I know that this can be a big problem here.
If there’s any comfort in this, I can tell you that the residents experience the same from time to time. Me, when I got sick… I truly hate the feeling that my life is in somebody elses hands. It has taken me years to feel a bit more secure. The bureaucracy sucks… big time.

Frustrating - but once you are settled you will get used to the bureaucracy. Then there will only be the occasional vexation… Enjoy, it is a wonderful place to live, sometimes I miss it terribly.
