One of Oslo’s popular attractions is the pier and harbor called Aker Brygge. Its not what I would consider a traditional looking pier, but more like a long line of shops, restaurants and cafes along the water in Oslo’s harbor.

On sunny days it is beautiful, and at night I think it is magical looking. But lately it has been rainy and gloomy in Oslo, Norway…and absolutely gorgeous.

I have found that if I ever want an hour or two to completely relax by myself that there is a restaurant at Aker Brygge that I take my computer to and get something to eat and can sit and just enjoy myself peacefully there. It has two stories, and comfy chairs in front of a big floor-to-ceiling windows that overlook the harbor and you can watch all the boats and the people and just enjoy the scenery. And of course, the restaurant is none other than Mc Donalds. But hey, its a great view with comfortable cushioned chairs, and free wireless connection! Its great. :)

So on Monday it was a particularly grey day (if you haven’t caught on yet -I love cold, cloudy and especially rainy weather) and I went to “my spot” to chill out and do a little and work on my computer. But once I got comfortable, it was like the heavens opened up or something…and started pouring! It was so amazing. I had so much fun watching the rain there. And I know you might be thinking “whats so great about watching the rain?” but it was just so beautiful.

I have mentioned before the quality of camera that I am using at the moment to share pictures with you…and its not-so-good. So I am continuing to apologize for the pictures because this is the best I am able to do with what I have. Hopefully you can at least get an idea of what I am talking about and little bit of an idea of what it looks like here. Thanks for understanding!
