Another “Star” sighting in Oslo!

October 6th, 2007 · 1 Comment

Another famous sighting last week…although I would have just ignored it if my friend didn’t know who the person was.

I was walking up the ramp from the underground and there was much more noise than the usual quiet atmosphere that there normally is. And like I said, I would have ignored it but my friend was like Oh my gosh, I love that song! (Which I had never heard.)

If you are like me and do not know who the band A1 is, click here to learn more.

Apparently it was a VERY famous singer from a VERY famous British boy band called “A1″. The singers name is Christian Ingebrigsten. We listened to one song, and it was good. The crowd that had gathered was fairly small, but it was raining pretty hard so I’m sure that that had something to do with it. And there was a woman in a raincoat that had a sign around her neck asking for donations for something (of course in Norwegian…so I had no clue what it was).

If you want to learn more about Christian Ingebrigtsen click here.

I don’t know if he was there to play just one song, or if we came at the end of his performance. But he didn’t play any more. Another man that was speaking in Norwegian went up after and we left.

But I am told, that he is SO famous and it was so cool that I got to see him. (Sure, whatever you say!). Anyways, the song that we heard was not my style, because for those of you who know me know that I love rap and hip-hop, not boy bands!Christian Ingebrigsten But the song was very nice and I did enjoy the little I heard of it while standing under my umbrella in the rain. It was really fun and an experience.

These kinds of experiences are fun because they make me feel like I really am experiencing a different culture. In the middle of downtown Oslo, Norway hearing a famous European singer and standing in the rain…its just not something I ever experience in California. So its really fun to have these kinds of good experiences that really make me feel like I am somewhere new (as opposed to the not-so-fun experiences that make me feel like I am somewhere new….if you want an example just read my post called Washers and dryers and dishwashers…oh my!).

My star-sighting in Oslo was fun, on this beautiful rainy day was really fun. Here are the pictures I was able to get.
