It is funny because since I’ve had the apartment all to myself all week, I have had the privilege of complete control of the remote. So, while channel surfing, I realized that the choice of American tv shows that they are showing here on tv in Norway, is a bit um - embarrassing.

By embarrassing, I mean, we have so much great tv in America, but what is shown here in Norway is the high-quality shows like Married With Children. It wouldn’t be so bad though if that was it. What really hurt me was when I saw them showing the horror show Americas Got Talent starring Hasselhoff himself.

No wonder Americans have a bad image in the world. I just mistakenly thought that it was because of our President(s) and certain wars….but realized that Married With Children, Americas Got Talent and Step By Step (which yes, I thought was great when I was in Junior High, but now seeing it again fifteen years later, not so much) is what has ruined the image of Americans. No wonder the world thinks were idiots!

I would prefer the world to judge our lack of intelligence based on the higher quality shows (aka: the shows I want to still watch) like American Idol, Big Brother and Survivor. At least its more entertaining than Al Bundy scratching himself. :)
