So here is my funny Christmas story, from my first Christmas in Oslo, Norway. Last year we went to Lithuania for Christmas and had a traditional Lithuanian Christmas with everything from going to the church at night to a Lithuanian food feast. This year we stayed in Oslo and so it was my first Christmas here in Norway.
We have a new apartment and knew that we wanted a Christmas tree. Well, we don’t have a car so I was wondering how that would work. We live about 6 metro stops from the city center and on the fifth floor of our apartment building. So I just was wondering how all of these people living in Norway without a car manage to get their Christmas trees home.
Well, what do you know, but we did it. And how, you ask? We took the huge Christmas tree on the metro all the way home and up all the flights of stairs. Oh did I mention that we live on the fifth floor of the apartment building and we have no elevator.
To me this was really a funny sight because I never saw anyone else on the metro with a six foot Christmas tree all bundled up. I still wonder how all those other people living in Oslo managed to get their trees home. Maybe they knew people with cars. (Note to self: Make more friends with cars).

LMAO! A 6ft tree in the metro (how did you get it through the turnstile? Pass it over them?) and up 5 flight of stairs??!! I tip my hat to you, that’s quite a feat you managed!! :)

I used my car, but I have seen them on bikes and of course of ’spark’ (do you know how to translate that to English? )
Btw: Thanks for offering your support when I was finalist on Weblog Awards!
